For Clarity and Peace of Mind

Perspective Matters Counselling

Experience a supportive environment where your voice is valued and challenges are respected.

My Values

At Perspective Matters Counselling, my counselling approach, or how I engage with clients, is grounded in three core values. First and foremost, everyone (and I mean everyone) is welcome. My counselling is judgment-free, enabling warm, open, and safe discussions. Secondly, I tailor my counselling to meet individual needs, recognising that everyone is different and what works for one client may not suit another. Finally, I limit my therapeutic methods to those with a strong evidence base, ensuring your time in counselling is both productive and enriching.

My Scope of Practice

While open to clients of all ages, I work primarily with adolescents (12 and over) and adults.

My general areas of focus include:

  • Adolescent health and wellbeing.
  • Family violence and conflict.
  • Women's health and intimate relationships.
  • Sexual orientation and gender identity.
  • Managing grief and loss.
  • Supporting people experiencing depression and anxiety.
  • Career planning and development.

My Counselling Approaches

For most people, discussing private matters with someone they have only just met is daunting. Opening your heart and mind to different perspectives can also be challenging. Be comfortable knowing that these feelings are natural and will quickly fade as we get to know each other.
